'Alice in Wonderland' for StreetArtHeroes curated by Garry Hunter, this is a collaboration between Irony and Frank Styles, Frank contributed the calligraphy and technical support to the wall, which is the first ever outdoor UV streetart piece. The piece lights up at night time under its own UV lights.
Location:
“The work - titled ‘Alice in Chuterland’ - is at the former school, which is now the Chuter Ede Community Centre in South Shields,” said project curator Garry Hunter. “The site is close to Carroll Walk - named for the author - on the Biddick Hall Estate, where I grew up in the 60s and 70s.”
Many of the streets in the Biddick Hall and Whiteleas estates are named for famous authors, poets and artists, with the likes of Dickens and Chaucer Avenues sitting close to Constable Gardens and Holbein Road.
